About US

Our research starts with biological inspirations, which hold unlimited potential in engineering, structural designs, and functional adaptations. Through observation and systematic modeling, we extract representative feature models via combinations of biological observation, model designs, and advanced manufacturing processes.

Principles behind the bio-inspirations were uncovered by powerful technologies such as multi-scale observation and finite element modeling. Then, we regenerate samples with techniques including freeze casting, additive manufacturing, and surface modification. These discoveries hold great potential and can be applied to structure designs, water collection and material gemones, etc.
